The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini, will visit Lebanon on December 19 to “reaffirm strong partnership and continued EU support to Lebanon's stability, security and prosperity,” the EU Delegation to Lebanon said.
She will meet with President Michel Aoun, Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Foreign Minister Jebran Bassil.
The High Representative's second visit this year shows “the EU's strong and long-standing partnership with Lebanon,” the EU Delegation said in a statement.
The European Union will continue to “support Lebanon in meeting the challenges that lie ahead and remains committed to the country's unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the statement added.
At the end of her visit, the EU High Representative will hold a joint press conference with PM Hariri at the Center House.
