A snake slithered into a rugby arena on Monday, grabbing the attention of fans and TV cameras.
Broadcasters showed images of a brown snake — about 1-meter (3-feet) long — in a grassy area between the field and the stands at Robina Stadium in the first half before it reportedly disappeared down a drain.
The National Rugby League game between the Gold Coast Titans and North Queensland was not interrupted. Gold Coast won 13-12.
Gold Coast Titans forward Greg Bird said the game was so frantic he didn't know anything about the snake.
He added: "I wish it bit me, it would have given me an excuse to lay down and have a rest."
